One of my oldest and dearest friends was in town Saturday and met our bean. Kristen and her son spent spring break with their family in Yuma, and came up early before flying home to spend the day with us. It's wild to remember her and I being so young and goofy in college, our trips to Vegas, our first loves... and now to see us both raising our families like responsible adults. It's amazing what a decade can do.
I didn't see my mom this weekend. I hate feeling guilty, but I just couldn't do it.
We had to dedicate today to doing a glucose curve test for the Brown Dog. That required pricking her ear and testing her blood sugar every hour and a half. She was such a trooper (Shanni, not so much.) So being stuck home, I finished laundry for the first time in a month!! Hooray! Shannon ran in and out taking care of grocery shopping and other errands. Excellent teamwork. And we holed up in the craft room this afternoon while Annabelle took her first real nap in her crib - 3 hours worth! Shanni was designing for work, and I designed this. A fast weekend indeed, but we packed it full of good stuff.
